Last month, Susan MacConnell, Director, Communications, presented as the keynote speaker at the Saint Mary’s University (SMU), Sobey School of Business Commerce Society’s Annual Wine & Cheese event. Not surprisingly, Susan delivered a powerful presentation to Commerce students and faculty, highlighting her career milestones and learning experiences, as well as the successful leadership skills that support her in leading Crombie’s department of Marketing and Communications professionals. Susan is no stranger to the SMU community, she obtained her Master of Business Administration (MBA) at SMU, and acted as the President of SMU’s MBA Society in her final year.

Carmen Scott, Crombie’s Communications Intern and current SMU-dent, selected Susan to speak at the highly anticipated event. Carmen initially joined Crombie in May 2022 as part of our summer student program and has been an excellent addition to our team, providing support, creative ideas, and value add across departments. We are fortunate to have representation of both SMU alumni and an upcoming graduate in Susan and Carmen on our team!
