At Crombie, the health and safety of our employees, tenants, and customers is our top priority. As provincial and federal governments are recommending preventative measures to mitigate the spread of the COVID-19 virus, we continue to review what we can do as property owners and managers to ensure the well-being of everyone in the communities in which we operate.
Our regular cleaning activities continue to be of utmost importance as a protective measure against the virus, at each of our properties and in our offices. Health authorities have advised that regular cleaning practices should be increased, and we have done so by increasing the frequency of our cleaning efforts and ensuring a focus on “touch points”. Hand sanitizer dispensers are available in common areas and public spaces, and we have confirmed that this product is effective when used correctly.
Effective Tuesday, March 17th, mall operating hours will be 11:00 am – 7:00 pm (with the exception of Scotia Square). These hours will remain in place for two weeks, at which point we will reevaluate. Access to each property will remain unchanged, as we understand there are some essential services and retail clients that may operate as per their usual hours of business, and we will continue to support them in their approach.
Properties impacted include:
- Avalon Mall, St. John’s, NL
- Random Square, Clarenville, NL
- Scotia Square, Halifax, NS
- County Fair Mall, New Minas, NS
- Amherst Mall, Amherst, NS
- Highland Square Mall, New Glasgow, NS
- Fundy Trail Mall, Truro, NS
Out of an abundance of caution, we have implemented “take out only service” in our Scotia Square food court, and will adjust seating at our Avalon Mall food court in line with social distancing recommendations.
We will provide further updates as necessary to adjust operating hours or make additional changes. Please reach out to us with concerns by emailing email@example.com.
